Education

      The Institute coordinates and monitors the Post-graduate education programme leading to M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Poultry Science (P.Sc.) discipline under the IVRI Deemed University, Izatnagar. The present annual intake for M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. students is ten and six, respectively. Desirous candidates may visit IVRI website (www.ivri.nic.in ) for more details .

Besides, National Diploma in Poultry Husbandry (N.D.P.H.) of two semesters duration is also offered by the institute under the IVRI Deemed University, Izatnagar for State Animal Husbandary department sponsored candidates.

During the Academic session 2011-12, ten M.V.Sc. and six Ph.D. students of Poultry Science discipline are on rolls of the IVRI Deemed University.

Training

Apart from post-graduate education in Poultry Science discipline, the institute organizes various short term training programs for poultry farmers/unemployed youth/entrepreneurs, in-service personnel, defence personnel and sponsored training program on poultry farming and farm management. In addition, 12 specialized training courses each of two weeks duration for different stake holders from both public and private sectors dealing with poultry production/ processing/ project formulation as well as 7 international training courses in different areas of poultry production and processing are conducted.
